Basingstoke 152 presented a highly successful Film Night on Friday 22nd April.
“42nd Street” is a 1933 American Pre-Code musical film starring Ruby Keeler,
Dick Powell, Warner Baxter and Bebe Daniels.

It was directed by Lloyd Bacon with choreography by Busby Berkeley. The songs
were written by Harry Warren (music) and Al Dubin (lyrics) with a screenplay by
Rian James and James Seymour, with Whitney Bolton, who was not credited,
from the 1932 novel of the same name by Bradford Ropes.
